Juno

You have every right to call me lazy or procrastinator and I admit, I am. As you are aware of, I haven't been blogging for the longest period of time and I shall not blame it on being busy with college lectures. ANYWAY~ I've been wanting to blog about an independent production movie I've watched lately - Juno. I'm well aware that this movie is not going to screened in the local movie theaters so you know what to do!

I personally think it's a really cool poster ^_^

The story:
"It all started with a chair"
What's with the chair? Juno lost her virginity on that chair and she got pregnant. Like most youngsters, she wanted to go for an abortion. But at the steps at the abortion clinic, she met a "friend" who was "demonstrating" against abortion, told her that fetus has nails (wtf!). So wtf, because of that she decided to give birth to her baby and look for a good family to raise her/him. Complications began as she started to build a friendship with the couple and she found out that the guy didn't want the kid!
Watch it to find out what happened then.

The cast:

Ellen Page

Playing Juno. Gosh, I so like her character. She's not the typical blonde girl you can find in the corridors of the school. She has her style, she doesn't care about how people look at her or think about her. She's confident and she's curious about sex (lol, I just had to add this last one in). She doesn't conform to what general people might think is good or nice. Even some parents think she's odd. That makes her unique.

Micheal Cera

Oh no, talking about him. Have you seen him in Superbad? He was so sweet okay~ He plays Paulie, the "seed sower". I started not liking his character in the beginning because he didn't play any role in seeking a good family for the unborn child and I thought he was totally irresponsible. I still do. But I also see the other side of the coin. Firstly, he didn't suggest having sex. It was her idea all along (although he agreed to it). Their "union" was more like a "one night stand" thing with no strings attached and she didn't want him to take the responsibility either. Secondly, what can he do? He's just another student!

Another controversy is when he asked another girl for prom night when he told Juno that he didn't like that girl. I mean, come on~ Juno believed that he doesn't like her. And when she confronted him about taking that girl out, he was surprised that she was mad. But I also realise that the guy was not attached to Juno in any way (except that the baby she was having "coincidentally" happens to be his).

The good thing about him was, when Juno finally realised that she likes him, he admits that he like her too. I think that was good enough to cover up all his short comings. =p

As for Micheal Cera himself, I think that he is seriously cute and he has long sexy legs (even nicer than mine *jealous*).

I like the hamburger phone!!!!!

Did I mention Jennifer Garner plays the adopting mother?

Juno scanning her baby

This is a freaking good scene. The person scanning Juno's baby gave a rude comment about her being pregnant and a young age. Juno's stepmom stood up for her and scolded the lady for giving not-requested-advices and told her to stay within the boundaries of her job: scan babies.

They finally admit loving each other (awwww~~)

The last scene where they sat in front of his house and sang a song. They share the same taste for music.

Conclusion: Juno is watchable. Not too serious and definitely nice for a good stay-in-movie.
