Grocery Day

It's the buy-food-and-spend-money-day today. I woke up dreading about preparation work and feeling the backache because I was not sleeping properly yesterday night. I hurriedly got ready and arrived just on time for the 11.15am eucharistic mass at St Barnabas Cathedral.

The 11.15am mass is also known as the High Mass (don't ask me why). The church choir sang for this mass. It was a great choir. However, everything was mainly in Latin, and it doesn't seem right to sing and spoil the a-cappella. The congregation sings only some of the songs. Unfortunately I knew none.

I met the new priest after mass. Fr Robby was his name. He's a really nice guy and he remembered we met the first time I visited St Barnabas Cathedral. He told me 10am mass has the most people so I'll be attending that one next week. I do hope to meet some new people and make some friends in church, but that's going to be near impossible in a Catholic church.

I went to Victoria Centre to buy groceries. I passed by Woolsworth and realise it's the last day of sale apparently. So I went in to see if there's anything I should buy. I came out with an iron that costs 4 pounds.

I put the Iron into the "Nottingham Law School" bag with wheels. I brought it with me to church and grocery shopping to carry my stuff :D Then I head down to Tesco for food!

Most of the things I bought were the same as last week but there are some special treats:
bread,
milk,
detergent,
honey smoked ham,
potatoes,
celery hearts,
carrots,
tomatoes,
mushrooms,
beansprouts and...

CHEESECAKE!

It's a vanilla and chocolate flavour cheesecake. I thought I'd buy it for a dinner with the flatmate but unfortunately my flatmate can't eat it... Should have just bought Ben and Jerry's instead. I wanted to buy that but I wasn't sure. Haih...wasted. But anyways, I can eat so I'll be just for myself. Fat fat fat! 1800 calories, sei mou~

Total cost including iron: 15 pounds.
