I thought today was going to be as uneventful as yesterday but turned out God has His plans! I went to the 6pm mass today. It was raining but I left the umbrella at home. It was so cold that my lips were numb.
Arrived at St Barnabas Cathedral slightly drenched. Mass was very interesting today because there were about 6 priest at the altar. So grand wei~ Especially during the blessing of the bread, all the pairs of hands praying over the bread and wine. It feels different.
The final song was great: Shine, Jesus Shine! Lovely song to dance and sing out loud. The only downside is that they play it too slow. I'd love it faster and livelier. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it.
After mass, there's were booths set up by various ministries. I decided to have a look to see if there's anything I could join. I saw something about Peace and Justice. Signed up for that. And one more thing that I've always wanted to do: Altar Servers!!!!!
Yes everyone, I've joined the Altar Servers. They needed people for the 11.15am High Mass and I volunteered for it. I'll be going there next week. *excited* I remember when I was in Sunday School, when our teachers asked us to write down any questions about the church that we wanted to clarify, I wrote: Why aren't there girls serving as altar servers?
Now, I finally have a chance to fulfill my long lost dream. So, hopefully during Christmas, when sis and Bf are here, you'll be able to see me up there :D
