My Flat @ Goldsmith Court

Continuation of my room, today I'm introducing my flat. Bf had been really curious of how my flat and kitchen looks like so here goes!

This is the first thing I see when I open my room door. The brown door on the right leads to the lift.

The corridor. The door you see there leads to the kitchen.

The first thing I see when we open the kitchen door: mop, dirty bucket and vacuum cleaner.

Excuse us for the mess, we just cooked. Normally, it's quite neat.

The dining area

The very tiny area for washing dishes

Microwave (I use it to heat up the milk)

My top shelf which is beside the basin (Tesco cookies hidden behind the bowl)

My bottom cupboard (The plastic mug thing beside my stainless steel pot is not mine)

Oven and electric stove

What do you think? :)

[Edit: I realised that many reading this are future tenants, I've blogged more about the room in a short entry here for your benefit.]

Nandos @ Nottingham

The last weekend was the best weekend I had so far. All thanks to Shu-Vun and her bf Sek Hao. Late Saturday evening, I went to help Shu-Vun unpack her belongings as she shift into Trinity Square.

Trinity Square is located opposite Victoria Centre (where Tesco is). The evening was spent arranging her files and talking to each other. She also gave me a mooncake (Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk), which her bf brought from Brunei :D There'll be a separate entry for mooncake coming up in future.

Around dinner time, we went to Nando's for dinner. It's my first Nando's in Nottingham! Nando's is located near Trinity Square. The weather was very cold that night. It was great not to have to cook for dinner. Good food :q

I'm pretty sure everyone who's reading my blog (if any) knows all about Nando's so I'm just going to show off some pics.

You have to order at the counter but the food will be served to your tables.

Upstairs

Nando's chicken

Looking outside while waiting for the food to arrive

It was very busy although it was around 9pm

The entrance

I love the roof

Large wooden cupboard

Similar side dishes like the ones back home

Mango & Lime O.o

What do you think of the price?

My order: Quarter chicken, chips and coleslaw (very filling, yay!)

Dinner was Shu-Vun's treat. I can't ask for a better friend in Nottingham. Thank you dear! *hugs*

Note to self: I must take a picture of Shu-Vun and her bf and post it here. They are such a lovely pair :D

Lunch @ Strada

My lovely flatmate Karmen has left for London. She's the friendliest person I've met when I moved into my flat. The day before she left, Karmen, Heather and I had a farewell lunch at Strada.

Strada is an Italian chain restaurant located beside Cornerhouse. It's about two minutes walk from my place. The weather was good and the sun was shinning brightly. I haven't had a good meal outside since I came here so I was excited.

Tada...Strada!

Entrance

I fell in love with the comforting interior and soothing background music immediately. It wasn't crowded and the sound of walking on wooden flooring somehow felt familiar. It was the best place for a quiet lunch and some wine ;)

We were seated behind those ladies near the window

Blurred picture :(

The bar counter

Isn't it nice?

We were seated at a round table and the menus were served promptly. There was so many options I didn't know what to get. There's a set lunch with complimentary wine and then there's the mouth watering pizza I've been dreaming of having. Argh, too many options!

Look at the beautiful menu!

£8.50 lunch set with complimentary wine

£8.75 Cotto pizza

Karmen (left) and Heather (right) having the same position while pondering what to order...

While waiting for our food and trying to console our hungry stomachs, we talked and cam whored a bit (the latter is just me) :D I was very excited to see what we all ordered and can't wait to gobble them up, weeeee!

Everybody, meet Karmen.

Complimentary water with Karmen behind look like an intelligent working lady

This picture was taken by Karmen. One of her expertise is graphic design and photography :O

Heather looking exquisitely beautiful

Strada decorated their restaurant with vegetables and fruits instead of flowers

Lemons XD

Olive oil with chilli (It's not spicy at all. Instead it gave the olive oil a great taste!)

Anglio bread: highly recommended! *super thumbs up!*

Eat it with olive oil :q

Cam whoring while eating Anglio bread

My Cotto pizza! I thought it was regular size but it turned out to be large. Loved it to bits!

Pollo Cacciatora: Grilled chicken breast with mushrooms, tomatoes and potatoes

Frittata Ortolana: omelette, vegetables and grilled ciabatta bread

Because the pizza I ordered was too large and also because I ate most of the Anglio bread, I couldn't finish my pizza. I da-pao-ed (take away)! :D

Happy and satisfied me cam whoring while checking out their toilets: definitely clean :)
