As you may all have realised by now, I cannot cook and I honestly mean it when I say so. I don't even bother cooking properly most of the time. Yes, I enjoy good food but cooking is just not fun.
Lunch is sandwich most of the time. Sometimes I wake up late and had to run without breakfast, I will then have brunch (muesli and milk). I had been putting ham and tomato slices for my so-called-sandwich. Then I will have one extra slice of strawberry jam bread, just for the taste actually.
But I got sick of ham. I've been taking it for a month. This week, I got a pack of salami. My first experience of eating salami was when sis and I were cycling in Aran Island (Ireland). There were no restaurants along the way. We packed some french bread and salami for lunch. We sat on the stone walls facing the sea enjoying the simple lunch.
That's where we stopped for lunch. We sat there enjoying lunch and the lovely view.
With the fond memories of salami topped with affordable price, I decided to buy salami for my sandwiches. I also bought cucumbers :) The cucumbers in UK are different from the ones we have at home. The cucumbers here look a lot like japanese cucumbers but fatter. And they don't have the bitter taste we get from cucumbers back home. I love the cucumbers here.

So, here we are: my new sandwich

Lightly toasted bread, a slice of salami, slices of tomatoes and cucumber
I love my sandwich. Friends advice me to put some mayonnaise but I don't quite like it. I might need a new recipe when I am sick of this. Hope this can last long.
I tried making fried rice yesterday. My flatmate (Titi - Room 3) said it looked nice. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't. It was tasteless. I didn't want to put the fried rice packet because I was stingy. Regret.

Cabbage, celery, capsicum, carrots, corn, mushrooms, garlic and rice
Conclusion: I shouldn't have added in cabbage and celery. Spoilt the taste. I should add in salt and tomatoes. Lesson learnt the hard way. Leftovers are still in my fridge.

Looking happy before eating. That happiness didn't last long.
I had a guest lecture at 5pm today. When I came back, Titi was cooking. I helped her and contributed some tomatoes and corn. Cooking with someone who knows what she's doing is quite fun. She cooked the chicken with curry powder, chili, chicken stock and thames. The rice was cooked with the same formula plus tomato puree. The outcome was delicious!

As you can see, we had a wonderful Nigerian dinner :D
